This was built for a Swiss watch company, installed at the edge of lake Geneva for the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Visitors turn the oversized watch crown to start the process, as if winding up the mechanism. The gears begin rotating and the music starts, with 5 stems controllable via the 5 control panels. The faders set the individual levels for drums, percussion, bass, keys and vocals, and there are knobs for effects and selection of an alternate version of each stem.
The turntables can also be used to alter playback pitch.
A camera system records the performance of each visitor and then generates a QR code to download the automatically edited video.
