This chandelier was made for Liberty's department store in Regent Street, London, constructed in the workshop of Rocket Creative Solutions Ltd.
The concept was developed by others, but I fabricated the steelwork after working out the weights and hanging points etc, which had to be done carefully so that it didn't fall on the heads of any people buying designer scarves below.
The main structure consisted of a series of concentric rings hung on chains, made of rolled 1 inch box section.
The view below includes some humans for a sense of scale.
The whole thing could be dismantled so that it could fit through doors.
Once completed, it was painted a horrible gold colour.
Installation took place overnight, finishing around 8am.
