The Badgermin

What a great start to the year - this brand new instrument was finished just in time for a New Year's Eve party in the beautiful Dorset countryside. A selection of talented musicians, none of whom had played a Badgermin before, treated us to a debut performance in the early hours of January 1st, with grand piano accompaniment.

The electronics are from a PAiA Theremax kit, with new 8mm diameter removable antennae. Please get in touch if you would like customised theremin.

200 points to whoever it was that said "Can't wait to see it play a live sett..."

Badgermin update, March 2012

New video below, featuring a rather fantastically talented thereminist.

The Badgermin has now been sold, and has begun a new lease of life in a recording studio. Email dave (at) this website if you would like to commission a project.

Another Badgermin update, June 2013: This video has temporarily been taken down after a very polite request by the featured star thereminist. We made the video for fun, but due to its popularity it became the first item when searching for the musician's name, which understandably wasn't ideal. I will re-upload it at some point, with the name removed. If you are looking to book a super-good theremin player, email me and I'll send you a link to his site.

Badgermin update August 2013: Uploaded again below. You may also want to check out my final taxidermy project, the owl theremin.
